I think I’m suppose to blog so here I go. I also think I’m supposed to have a podcast but I’ll start with this.
Being human isn’t easy. We are given many gifts and talents and usually we either don’t recognize them or we don’t believe in ourselves enough to give them a chance. I was just thinking about forgiveness and how we think of it either as we need to forgive someone or we need forgiveness from them… we shy away from forgiving ourselves. Maybe it’s this last one that is the hardest. When we do even the littlest things that separate us from God we slowly begin to think we are not worthy.
That God is judge mental. We get all negative in our Lord who loves us so much. We move further and further away from Him and soon we are lost in a weird pattern of indifference. Notice I said we move away from God… He is always there.and will never move away from us. Our Lord is so close He is in us. To hear our thoughts, know our needs and love us through our every day. Prayer is necessary for us to be able to get back to Him. Get on our knees and ask for help in being able to forgive ourselves peeling away our shame and let go of our negative thoughts of ourselves. By not doing this, things build up over time and soon we are lost and unhappy. Looking around for someone to blame for our unhappiness. We humans since the beginning of time have been at battle against evil. The devil knows how to manipulate us and how easily we can be lured away from our Lord. God is love and we were made to love. Love is a powerful force which is why Satan hates it. He knows how tough we are , especially when we love ourselves. This also gets a little messy when we think of self love we might think selfish. Actually the best way to love yourself is to recognize God in you. Love that beautiful Holy Spirit within you and self love is easy. It works against ego and brings out our good. Forgiveness is our way back. There is nothing so terrible that God won’t forgive. He knows our hearts. We are worthy…He hung on the cross for each one of us.Someone dear to me once said the trees are about to show us how beautiful it is to let things go. Releasing our sins and forgiving ourselves will bring us back to our Lord and the heavy weight is lifted. For me I go to confession…not the most fun sacrament but releasing and getting things off my heart knowing I need His help to keep me strong…nobody is perfect…we are loved anyway . We acknowledge our worth and bingo our gifts and talents seem much more apparent and you guessed it happiness happens.
Bottom line is, spend time on your knees to pray, humble yourself enough to forgive yourself, remember you are never alone you are loved by our creator, you have a mission for this day. It might be big it might be little… whatever it is God will be there with you giving you the abilities to get it done. Trust and know you are loved.
Oh I almost forgot there’s more… there is always more … when you are on board, tuned in, in line with Jesus… being made aware of all of your gifts (and don’t think the negative voices will stop trying to talk you out of your gifts and talents… negative voices are a call to prayer… arm up in prayer… negative is not from God! ) your talents and your goodness then you can genuinely be happy for others. You won’t feel jealous and want what they have. You will be aware of ALL that you have. It’s good. So get going and soar!! I’ll try my best too!!
